34 Edward St, Essendon

DETAILS

After completing a substantial renovation for them in 2013, the owners have invited us back to attend to the external restoration and painting at this beautiful 1920’s bungalow.

The woodwork was suspicious in parts and rather than a ‘bog job’ the owners have taken the decision to replace the rotten timber to make it right.

Replacing timber fascia and barge with exposed lining boards can be tricky, but the carpenters have done a great job in preserving all the existing woodwork during these repairs.

Sadly, we found the existing unglazed terra cotta roof to be in serious want. A new roof has now been ordered and all the existing picket ridges and adornments will be refitted as per the original installation.
