As part of the Princes Hwy road duplication east of Traralgon, Vic Roads required the relocation and restoration of the memorial.
The existing render was found to be in poor condition.
A lifting cradle was designed by heritage experts and structural engineers BHS Consulting. Seen here, Vic Roads engineers inspect the cradle prior to the lift and relocation.
While the monument was being prepared to be lifted, at its new location, our crew was preparing a new engineered footing at the new location.
